Challenge & approach
Quantity surveying work is still largely done in spreadsheets: bills of quantities, payment certificates, variation orders and final accounts live in separate files, with no audit trail and no real-time view of budget against expenditure.
QSPro combines the practice's QS expertise with in-house software development. A hierarchical BOQ engine (sections, bills, items) drives JBCC-compliant payment certificates, CPAP calculations, variation workflows and final accounts, with role-based access, project-level permissions and a complete audit log.

- Multi-level BOQ management with real-time quantity, rate and amount calculation and reusable templates
- ASAQS / JBCC-compliant preliminaries, provisional sums, markups, contingencies and VAT automation
- Interim payment certificates with retention, materials on/off site, CPAP and security adjustments
- Variation order workflow: draft, review, approval, implementation and contract-value tracking
- Claims administration: dayworks, extension of time, prolongation, loss and expense
- Tender evaluation with contractor ranking, CIDB grading checks and B-BBEE scorecard integration
- Final account remeasurement and reconciliation; cost control and earned-value dashboards
- Branded multi-page PDF outputs for tenders, certificates, variations and final accounts
